We’re excited to announce the promotion of both Amit Bansal and Sam Bjork to Partner at Digitalis Ventures.
Amit Bansal was a part of the founding team at Digitalis. Since our inception in 2016, Amit has led or co-led our firm’s investments in Aunt Bertha, The Mighty, Brella Insurance, Cayaba Care, Unifi Health, NuPerfect, and Smalls. Beyond his investing activities, he has played an important role in all aspects of our internal operations.
Amit is also a member of the NYU Innovation Fund’s Healthcare Advisory Board and on the Board for the Fund for Public Health NYC. Prior to Digitalis, Amit was at Mars, Inc. in both strategy and innovation roles. He has also helped to scale a healthcare start-up leveraging telemedicine to provide last mile access to primary care in rural India. Amit began his career at GE Healthcare in corporate finance, where he held roles in finance, risk, and marketing. He received his MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and his BA from Boston College.
Since joining Digitalis in 2017, Sam Bjork has led or co-led our firm’s investments in Good Therapeutics, Terray Therapeutics, Onc.AI, PetMedix, Scout Bio, Rejuvenate Bio, Code Ocean, Elemental Machines, and an unannounced genomics company. He has sourced, led, or co-led our investments in five other companies across our three practice areas, including NuPerfect and Cayaba Care, and he has played a critical role in establishing our company creation capabilities.
He received graduate degrees from Cambridge and Oxford University as a Marshall Scholar and an A.B. in Chemistry from Harvard University. Prior to Digitalis, Sam was a member of the healthcare and clean energy practices at the Boston Consulting Group.
